Peyton's 1st Birthday Pictures

So i decided not to pay for pro pics this time. I figured, I had the camera, I had the editing software---and that had to get me somewhere right?

I am SOO happy with the outcome! I wanted to get some outdoor pictures of her- but its the middle of winter and freezing, so she couldn't wear her actual birthday outfit....and I'm so glad she didn't. I love the little outfit she had on.

My little fashionista!

*these first few were not edited by me. They were edited by my friend Melissa. She is soo talented, and like I said before- editing people is not my strong suit.
and here are a few in her birthday outfit at the Botanical Center. I edited these :)

Splish Spash!

Peyton's first bath pictures since she was 2 months! Holy cow- im a slacker!

I just got my lightscoop yesterday! I looove how bright it makes my pictures! Especially because most of my pictures are taken inside!

Here are some bath time pictures, straight out of my camera :)

Ice storm.

We had an ice storm here last month- and it was amazing outside! I had such a fun time taking pictures of it.

Nate.

Meet my brother. While it took quite a bit of convincing to get him to let me take pictures of him, I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

Here is one of my favorite pictures from our little 'shoot'
I have a really hard time with editing people still. Its top priority on my list of things I want to learn :)

Flowers

I was working on still life photos for my photography class. Its Iowa and the middle of winter so I had to get creative. Valentines Day just passed so I plucked out a flower from the vase and took it outside.

Who knew there could be flowers in the snow ;)

Welcome!

welcome to my newest little blog!

I am Jami. I'm an aspiring photographer.

I am still a beginner, but I'm learning, and enjoying every minute of it.

My love for photography started after I had my daughter. I just loved capturing all of her little moments, all of the cutesy little faces she made, and catching all of her growth in pictures. 'Lifes precious little moments' :)

Recently I have been dabbling in still life and landscape photography. Its a little easier to capture then a fast moving infant :)

I'm currently taking a photoshop class, I LOVE it! It is so much fun and I am learning a ton!

WHAT'S IN MY BAG?
*Canon 40D
*Tamron AF 28-300mm 1:3.5-6.3 (IF) Macro
*Canon EFS 17-85 MM Macro .035m/1.2ft

I just ordered a Lightscoop and I can't wait to see what it does to my photos!
